Three questions to ask any gutter contractor
Is it seamless, and what thickness?
Seamless gutters have no joints along each straight run. Ask which aluminum thickness the quote is based on. Coil comes in .027 and .032 inch, and the heavier one is 18% more metal.
How many downspouts, and where will they drain?
Each downspout should discharge at least 5 feet from the foundation. Ask where each one ends.
What does the warranty cover?
Get the workmanship warranty in writing, separate from the manufacturer’s warranty on the materials.
Sioux Falls and nearby towns

Common questions
How does this work?
You send one request with the details of the job. You’ll get a call, text or email to set up a visit, and the quote comes after it.
Is it free?
Yes, for homeowners. Prices for every job are on the gutter cost page, including guards, replacement and cleaning and repair.
Are you a gutter contractor?
No. Sioux Falls Gutter is an independent guide to gutters in Sioux Falls. It does not install gutters. Quote requests go to a local gutter contractor.
Do I have to hire anyone?
No. You decide once you have the written quote in hand. If something is going wrong now, start with why gutters leak, why they overflow or frozen gutters and ice dams.
Do I need 5-inch or 6-inch gutters?
It depends on the size and pitch of the roof plane feeding each run. At Sioux Falls rainfall intensity, a 5-inch K-style gutter drains about 700 to 750 square feet and a 6-inch about 1,050 to 1,100. Whether a roof plane needs the larger size is quick to work out, and aluminum, steel and copper each suit different houses.
